Through the ups and downs of the business, Bill received encouragement to keep pushing on from great artists and writers such as Johnny Russell, Conway Twitty and Merle Haggard. That encouragement paid off in #1 songs by Charley Pride (Every Heart Should Have One), George Strait (I’d Like To Have That One Back) and Sawyer Brown (Trouble On The Line).

Top-tens by Garth Brooks (Wild Horses) as well as Marie Bottrell (RCA Canada) and more than 100 songs recorded by artists such as Porter Wagoner, Chris LeDoux, Vern Gosdin and Moe Bandy, just to name a few.

Bill has received multiple BMI Million Performance Achievement Citations and many other BMI awards. As President of Pride Music Group, Bill helped launch the careers of Paul and Gene Nelson, Aaron Barker, and later as Creative Director for Club Zoo Music brought Scotty Emerick to Mark Miller and helped launch his great career.

Helped by many, helping others and mentoring young writers ... Bill is now a staff writer for Cherry Heart Music and operates his own publishing company, Hard Twist Music, BMI. Bill is a Nashville legend, one of the "good guys."

Bill Shore followed his dream of making music from Texas to Tennessee, and for 25-plus years has been driving that dream home in Music City.

Mentored by Doodle Owens, his first recorded songs were by music legends such as Billy Walker, Claude King, Mel Street and David Houston. Those early recordings inspired and motivated the young writer to work even harder, and his first top-20 record came from the great Tammy Wynette, the classic You Still Get To Me In My Dreams.
