In that position, Tony managed more than 600 shows over 14 summer seasons featuring national and international acts such as Tony Bennett, Tom Jones, The Black Crowes, The Moody Blues, Hootie and the Blowfish, Lewis Black, LeAnn Rimes, Willie Nelson and many, many more.
Tony has also organized and promoted fundraising concerts and events for the Cape And Islands United Way. As busy as he is, he also manages to handle the production and talent booking for the annual WGHB March of Dimes telethon, something he's done for eight years now.
Before the Melody Tent, Tony developed first music-related specialty tours for US Beatles' fans, taking small groups to London, Liverpool and Hamburg "Beatle sites" and events. He's returned to that business and now runs Whistling Dixie Tours, which celebrate the musical roots heritage of Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi in 5-, 7-, 10- and 12-day packages. The Rock Star Coaches that serve as tour transportation can accommodate groups of 10 in style. Tony also runs MusicTreks (walking audio tours for music lovers of Nashville, Memphis, Clarksdale, MS and Austin, TX), promotes the Robert Johnson Blues Foundation, and in his spare time manages Carlene Carter!
