Our judging is TOTALLY blind, meaning all the judges know about a song is the
title. Also, we have different judges for different categories; the fact that
Erinn won two categories (see the “Rock” winner) is truly extraordinary!

“From the first line, I love the melody ... the musical elements are doing a
great job of supporting the emotion of the lyric. Very commercial appeal.”

About Erinn
Erinn grew up in a little town called Berry on the beautiful South Coast of
Australia, three hours from Sydney. Words and storyt elling have been a passion
for her since she was able to read and write.
In 2005, she and Kay Fallico won the Australian Songwriters Association pop
category for their co-written song, “New Flame,’’ and Erinn has since had songs released on independent and major labels all over
the world, including singles in Canada, Germany and China. She hopes to one day
make a living as a songwriter in Nashville. We don’t think she’s going to have any trouble. :-)
Seven months ago, Erinn flew from Sydney to LA, and then caught the infamous Greyhound bus to Nashville.
“I didn’t really know anyone or how I was going to do this, but I feel like God led me
to Nashville. I love it just as much as I imagined – the town and the people,” says Erinn.
In December she was granted a three-year artist visa so we can keep her with us
for at least a while longer. :-) Just two weeks ago, a song co-written with Blu
Sanders was placed on hold for Kelly Clarkson.
“This journey is far from easy but its definitely exciting ... and being allowed
to stay in Nashville is the best Christmas present I’ve ever received. All this wonderful news gives me encouragement that I might be
in the right place, so thank you to all the good people at SongDoor and my
beautiful friends and co-writers that have stuck with me so far!”
